Description of the situation:
Alex is the last born in the family at present (sister Sheryll born in 2012), the father does casual work while the mother is a house wife. The month income of the family is low (2,300 KES).They live in a three roomed mud house of their own, they get water from the lake, uses firewood for cooking and they use kerosene for lighting. Apart from Alex and the sister together with the mother, the father also takes care of his old mother who is old and sickling. Alex is doing fine health wise at present except of the occasional malaria. In 2018 he would like to join a nursery in Community Center Island of Hope. Adoption of this child is 2400 CZK/100 Eur per term.
