Description of the situation: David is an orphan. He was born on 15th January 2000. He has 2 siblings, Vivian and Veronicah. He was living in our orphanage at Island of Hope. He is spending his holiday with his uncle who is a fisherman. The income that he gets is very small. He lives in a three roomed mud house, gets water from the lake, uses firewood for cooking and Kerosine for lighting. David is one of the smartest students in our secondary school Island of Hope Humanist School, which he started in 2016. He needs support in the amount of CZK 5600 per term (220 EUR).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
