Description of the situation: The father who was the only family breadwinner died leaving the children with their mother who is a house wife to feed and also take the children to school. The mother could not manage it and because of this the first born Quinter drop out of school to get married. Now Joseph stays/live with Quinter who is also a house wife and has her own two children to feed and also take to school. Five people live in a mud house with one room. They use firewood for cooking, kerosene lamp for lighting and they get watter from a well. The mother is now remaining with other two Joseph’s siblings – older Dorine and younger Joshua whom she takes care of but she can’t manage because she depends entirely on relatives and neighbours. The family is doing well except Joseph who has chest problems. In 2018, he will be at 7th class at primary school. Due to the family situation the child was placed in the orphanage "Island of Hope" on the Rusinga Island, where this child should find new home and start going to school. (Adoption of this child is increased by the amount of 16.800 CZK/660 EUR per year to cover the cost of the study, accommodation, food and governess in the orphanage.)
