Mother: Eunice Akyniy Odhiambo, birth 1990, housewife
Description of the situation: Raylyn is the first born in the family of two children. She has one younger brother Haviel (2016). The mother stays with a relative and her two children in Kabiria slum and she is housewife. She has only around 2,000 KES/ 20 EUR per month. She hardly has enough money to cater for all their needs like paying rent, fees, buying meals and also their clothing. They live in a one semi –permanent (iron sheet, timber) room with the relatives. Their situation worsened in July 2018 when a fire broke out leaving the family homeless. Mother was able to save her children but her property was burnt down. They use paraffin stove for cooking, electricity for lighting and they get water from a bore hole. Raylyn has a growth on her nose which causes her a breathing problems. In 2018 she should attend nursery school. Her mother rely on donations from friends and well-wishers. That is why we decided to put her into our program that she could start attend the school. She needs support of 2.400 CZK/100 EUR per term.
