Child number: 52951

Adopted
Child from Island of Hope
Ronald Densih Omondi has been in adoption programme since year 2021 and he goes to school Island of Hope Humanist School.
City, quarter: Mbita Ufira
State: Kenya
Mother: Quinter Adhiambo Omondi, birth 1990, fisherman
Father: Denish Omondi Okoth, birth 1985, fisherman
Description of the situation: Ronald was born in 2017 as the third born in a family of three children (sister Sylvia and brother Stanley). His father is a fisherman and his mother helps him, so both are fishermen. Net family income is about 2.000 Ksh (20 EUR) a month, which is unfortunately not enough to sustain them as a family and allow them to educate their three children. The family lives in a two roomed mud house, they use kerosene for lighting, get water from the lake and also use firewood/ charcoal for cooking. Ronald is healthy, he really likes playing with toys and playing football. In 2021 he should start to attend kindergarten. Due to the little income that the family earns, it is hard to meet basic needs and paying school fees has become a big problem. That is why we decided to put him into our program so that he could go to kindergarten. Ronald needs support of 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term.
