Child number: 52953

Adopted
Jeph Peters Odhiambo has been in adoption programme since year 2021 and he goes to school St.Pauls Academy.
City, quarter: Kamasengre west Kolunga
State: Kenya
Mother: Nancy Adhiambo Odhiambo, birth 1998, sells fish
Father: Emmanuel Odhiambo Onyango, birth 1994, fisherman
Description of the situation: Jeph was born in 2017 as the second born in a family. His family lives at Kolunga fishing village as both parents are working with fish, his father is a fisherman and his mother sells fish. They have rented a house that they are paying a rent of 2.000 Ksh per month, but their net monthly income is just about 3.000 Ksh (30 EUR), therefore it is difficult for them to provide all basic needs and school fees to their children. The family lives in a single roomed semi-permanent house, they use kerosene for lighting, get water from the lake and also use charcoal for cooking. The family is doing well healthwise, but Jeph has a chest problem. He really likes playing with toys and playing football. In 2021 he started to attend kindergarten. Due to the little income that the family earns, it is hard to meet basic needs and paying school fees has become a big problem. That is why we decided to put him into our program so that he could go to kindergarten. Jeph needs support of 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term.
