Description of the situation: Morphine was born in 2018 and is the youngest of four children. She has an older sister Vivian, (2010), Sophy (2011) and a brother Michael (2014). The children come from a polygamous household, where their mother is the first wife of their fathers. Their father is a fisherman, and their mother sells fish for a living. The family’s net income is 3,000 KSH (30 EUR) per month. Morphine’s cousin’s live with her stepmother and they all depend on their father to provide for them. They live in a rental mud house that has one room. For cooking they use firewood and charcoal and get their water from the lake, for lighting they use candles. Morphine enjoys cooking and playing soccer. In 2023 Morphine should join nursary at Island of Hope’s. She needs support of 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term (7.200 CZK/ 300 EUR per year).
