Description of the situation: Alphonce comes from a polygamous family where her mother is the second wife of the father amongst three wives. In their house he is the last born out of three children (siblings Fidel born 2006 and Griphines born 2009). The father is a security guard while the mother does fishing. The income the family gets is meagre to provide the basic needs in life to the family (3,100 KES per month – about 31 Eur). The family lives in the 2-roomed mud house which belongs to them. They take water from the lake and cook on fire using charcoal). They use koresene lamp or little solar panel for lighting. Paul is doing well helthwise at the moment and (thanks to adoption) goes to elementary school on the Island of Hope. He likes playing football and swimming.
