Description of the situation: Stephen was born in 2000. His father died in 2009 and the boy lives with his mother and siblings. He has four step-siblings Sophy, Ezekiel, Kevin and Henry. The family's average monthly income is ksh. 5,000. They are six people living in a 2 roomed mud house. They use firewood for cooking, kerosene lamp for lighting and get their water from the lake. Stephen is healthy. In 2016 Stephen entered form 1 at Island of Hope Humanist Mixed Boarding School in our community center Island of Hope. Unfortunately he lost his previous sponsor. He needs 200 Euro/term. He likes chemistry, biology, physics, computers and business studies. He would like to study also at university. He wants to be an ingeneer and build houses. He likes playing football and voleyball.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. The basic sponsoring fee amounts to 7200 CZK (300 EUR) a year.
