Description of the situation: Florence was born on 26th February 2005 and stays with her parents in MorMalanga village ,Siaya district. The father John Omondi is a peasant farmer while the mother, Caroline Awuor is a small scale farmer. They have an income of 3000 KES (approximately 27 EUR) per month. Florence has 2 younger siblings - Lion and Raphael who are going to school. The family stays in a two roomed grass thatched house, which belongs to the family. They use firewood for cooking, lanten lamp for lighting and get water from the dam. Florence has no health problem. In 2023 she started 2nd grade of high school. The adoption fee is 5,600 CZK / 220 EURO per school term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
