Description of the situation: Done is the only child in the family, she was born out of marrige. The mother is still a student and they depend on their uncle for food and education. The uncle is a polygamist with two wives, he has his own kids to feed and also pay for them the school fees. He does fishing on other people net and the income he gets is very little. He earns 6000 KES (49 Eur) for month. The family of eight people live in a three roomed permanent house, which belongs to them. They get water from the lake, use Solar panel/Kerosene lamp for lighting and Charcoal/Firewood for cooking. Done is doing fine health wise at present except of the occasional malaria. In 2018 he would like to join a nursery in Community Center Island of Hope. Adoption of this child is 2400 CZK/100 Eur per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children - “ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. The basic sponsoring fee amounts to 7200 CZK (300 EUR) a year.
