Description of the situation: Harrison is the second last born in the family of eight children (siblings Kevin born in 1999, Yvonne born in 2001, John born 2003, Dady born 2004, Juliet born 2007, Iddah born 2009 and Peter born 2015). The father does fishing while the mother is a house wife. Apart from Harrison and the siblings, the parent also takes care of four children who are total orphans. The income the family get is meagre to provide the basic needs in life to the family (8,500 KES per month). The family lives in a permanent house oftheir own. They cook on fire, take water from the lake and use kersoene for lighting. Harrison is doing well health wise at present except of the occasional malaria. In 2018 he would like to join a nursery in Community Center Island of Hope. Adoption of this child is 2400 CZK/100 Eur per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children - “ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. The basic sponsoring fee amounts to 7200 CZK (300 EUR) a year.
