Description of the situation: Manas is the middle of three siblings. He has an older brother, Austin, and a younger brother, Steve. Both parents died and the boys stayed with their elderly grandmother. The grandmother was completely dependent on donations from well-wishers, lneighbors, and relatives. They lived in a two-room mud house. They cooked on fire, used a kerosene/solar lamp for lighting, and took water from a lake. That is why we accepted the boy into our orphanage at Island of Hope Community Center in 2018, where he attended primary school and later secondary school thanks to the support of his adoptive parent. The grandmother has since passed away, and the boy now lives with his uncle, who is a fisherman and has children of his own. Manas would now like to study at MBITA TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL COLLEGE, diploma course ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING. He needs support of 1500 CZK/62.50 EUR/month (18000 CZK/750 EU/year).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3 500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 8,400 (€ 360) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 18,000 (€ 750). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
