Description of the situation: Ronaldo is the first born in the family of three children (siblings Rooney and Pendo). Both the parents died leaving them with their grandmother Eudice who is a widow. She does house wife and depends on neighbors’ for survival. Family´s average is 4,000 KES per month – about 40 EUR. The family (which has 9 members altogether) lives in their own 2-roomed mud house. They get water from the lake, uses firewood for cooking and kerosene lamp or energy from little solar panel for lighting. Ronaldo is doing health wise well at the moment. In 2019, Ronaldo will be in 2 nd class in primary school. Ronaldo likes mathematics and reading. He also likes playing football and swimming. He will join the orphanage in our community centre Island of Hope since January 2019. Adoption of this child costs 16,800 CZK/660 EUR per year (the amount covers school fees, accommodation, food and governess in an orphanage as well).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. The basic sponsoring fee amounts to 7200 CZK (300 EUR) a year.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
