Adopted
Faith Kivili Kyalo has been in adoption programme since year 2019 and she goes to school Kyethivo Girls Secondary School.
City, quarter: Machakos Kauti
State: Kenya
Mother: Elizabeth Ndululu, birth 1984, house wife
Father: John Kyalo, birth 1978, farmer
Description of the situation: Faith is from the family of 3 children. She has sisters Sheilla (2005) and Eunice (2011). The parents rely on farming such as economic activity depending on rain to grow crops such as maize, beans, pigeon pea for consumption. The father has no permanent job and the mother sometimes sell water to people to earn income. They live in three room semi – permanent house (from iron sheet and timber) which is owned by grandparent. They use firewood for cooking, paraffin lamp for lighting and they get water from the borehole. Faith is healthy girl and likes playing hide and seek game. In 2019 she is already in class 6 at the Primary School. Due to the little income that is family earning, it is hard to meet basic family needs and paying school fees has become a big problem. That is why we decided to put her into our program that she does not have to leave the school. Faith needs support of 2.400 CZK/100 EUR per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
