Description of the situation: Melvin lives with her mother and siblings Verone (2000), Lizz (2010) and Patricia (2012). Her father died and mother sells Mandazi (fried bread). Family has around 1,500 KES/15 EUR per month. The family lives in one room mud house which is rented. They use firewood for cooking, paraffin lamp for lighting and they get water from the lake. Melvin is healthy girl. She likes cooking and skipping with the rope. Due to the little income that is mother earning, it is hard to meet basic family needs and paying school fees has become a big problem. That is why we decided to put her into our program that he could go to school. In 2023 she started 2nd class of primary school at Island of Hope Humanist School and she needs support of 2,400 CZK/100 EUR per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
