Mother: Elizabeth Mzula, birth 1995, House wife
Father: Victor O.Mbom, birth 1997, Motorcycle operator
Description of the situation: Teddy is the only child in the family at the moment. The father operates a motorcycle business while the mother is a house wife, they also lives with Teddy’s grandmother who is a widow. The income is verry little - around 4,800 KES/48 EUR per month. The family (which has 4 members altogether) lives in 2 room mud house which belongs to them. They use firewood or charcoal for cooking, energy from little solar panel for lighting and they get water from the lake. Teddy is doing well at the moment except of the occasional malaria. She likes singing and playing with the ball. In 2023 she started 2nd class of primary school at Island of Hope Humanist School. Due to the little income that is family earning, it is hard to meet basic family needs and paying school fees has become a big problem. ThereforeTeddy needs support of 2,400 CZK/100 EUR per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
