Description of the situation: Godfrey comes from a big family, he has in total 6 siblings, some of them are also part of adoption program (Nancy 12 years old – ID 52887, Emily 15 years old – 52888, Maurine 19 years old – 50918, Eunice 23 years old – 51611). The father who was the only family breadwinner died leaving the mother who is a house wife to feed, pay school fees and also provides other basic needs to the family. Net family income is about 2000 ksh/ a month (20 euro). The family lives in a two roomed mud house, where the kids sleep in one room on the floor and the mother with the younger one sleeps in another room. They use firewood for cooking and kerosene for lighting, they get water from the well. Godfrey loves playing football, in school he likes Kiswahili, English and Mathematics and once he grows up he would like to be a doctor. He has ear and eye problem. Adoption of Godfrey costs 7.200 CZK/ 300 EUR per year.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
