Description of the situation: Mary Anne is the last born in the family of three children (siblings Ray and Shreya), she was born in 2017. Her father does fishing while the mother is a housewife. Apart from Marry and the siblings, the father also takes care of his parents and his siblings, making his income not to be enough to provide for the basic needs of the family. Net monthly income is about 1500 Ksh (15 EUR). The family lives in a two roomed mud house, they use kerosene for lighting, get water from the lake and also use firewood/ charcoal for cooking. Mary Anne is healthy, she really like playing football and swimming. She also likes netball. In 2021 she is attending kindergarten. Her adoption costs 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
