Description of the situation: Kerry Paul is the only child in the family at present, he was born in 2011. The net family income is about 2.100 Ksh (21 EUR) a month which is unfortunately not enough to survive. The family lives in a three roomed mud house, they use solar for lighting, get water from the lake and use firewood for cooking. Kerry is healthy, he really likes playing football and singing. In school he likes Mathematics, Kiswahili and Social studies. In the future he would like to be an engineer. In 2021 he started to attend class 5 and he also joined the orphanage in our community centre Island of Hope. Adoption of Kerry costs 5.600 CZK/ 220 EUR per school term (the amount covers school fees, accommodation, food and governess in an orphanage as well).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
