Back
Child number: 52990
Boy, 6 years
Adopted
Child from Island of Hope
Clinton Otieno has been in adoption programme since year 2021 and he goes to school Island of Hope Humanist School.
City, quarter: Kamasengre West UFIRA
State: Kenya
Mother: Sharon Achieng, birth 1995, housewife
Father: Evance Okeyo, birth 1993, fisherman
Description of the situation: Clinton was born in 2018 as the second born in the family of two children (sibling Thwaha born 2014). His father does fishing while the mother is a housewife. The income the family gets is little to feed and also provide the basic needs in life to the family. Net family monthly income is about 3.000 Ksh (30 EUR). The family lives in a one room mud house, which they rent. They use candles for lighting, get water from the lake and use firewood for cooking. Clinton is healthy and he really loves to play football. Due to the little income it is hard for the family to meet basic needs and also to pay school fees. That is why we decided to put the boy into our program, so that he can go to school. In 2021 he is attending kindergarten. His adoption costs 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term. Will you help Clinton to get an education?

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

Section of detailed information provides an overview of how this projects works. In case you have already chosen a child from our database, you can also find here all the steps to be taken in order to adopt a child remotely.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
