Back
Child number: 53008
Girl, 19 years
Adopted
Bibra Adero has been in adoption programme since year 2022 and she goes to school Kaswanga Girls Secondary School.
City, quarter: Rusinga Wanyama
State: Kenya
Mother: Winnie Awour Otuoma, birth 1980, hotel attendant
Father: Mathew Charles Otuoma, birth 1970, farmer
Description of the situation: Bibra was born in 2005 and she has 6 siblings (Peter, Sydney, Waseley, Jayson, Euaninta and Kessy). Their father is a farmer and their mother is a hotel attendant, but the money they earn is unfortunately not enough to satisfy basic needs of all children. Net family income is about 6.600 KES (66 EUR) per month. The family lives in a two roomed semi-permanent house that belongs to the family, they get water from the lake, use firewood or charcoal for cooking and kerosene for lighting. Bibra is doing well healthwise. She likes dancing, cooking and singing. She also likes netball. In 2023 she attendng the 3rd class of Kaswanga Girls Secondary School. Expenses in high school are unfortunately higher than in primary school and therefore his adoption costs 5.600 CZK/ 220 EUR per school term (16.800 CZK/ 660 EUR per year).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
