City, quarter: Luanda Kamasengre west
State: Kenya
Father: George Ochieng Njanjwa, birth 1982, Peasant farmer
Guardian: Monica Adhiambo Wakiaga, birth 1978, Peasant farmer
Description of the situation: Geofry is the last born in the family of four children. He has three sisters: Sheryll Awuor (born 2011), Shaline Atieno (2013) and Quiter Anyango (2016). The mother died leaving the children with their father who is a peasant farmer. But he is sickling and he cannot manage to take care about the children. Therefore they were taken by their aunt who also has her own five children and only does peasant farming to provide for the family. The income the aunt gets is very little to provide for the family basic needs. They live in a three-room mud house which belong to family. They use firewood/charcoal for cooking, using kerosene/solar for lighting and gets water from a borehole. Geofry likes football. In January 2025 he should join a kindergarten at Island of Hope Humanist School. He needs a support with an amount of 7200 CZK/300 EUR per year (600 CZK/25 EUR per month).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

Section of detailed information provides an overview of how this projects works. In case you have already chosen a child from our database, you can also find here all the steps to be taken in order to adopt a child remotely.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
