Description of the situation: Innocent comes from a polygamous family where his mother is the second wife of the father. He is the youngest in the family of five children: Queesmith Akinyi (born 2009), Steve Austine Ochieng (2011), Scola Stica Achieng (2013), Trixie Angel (2024). Both the parents does fishing and the income they gets is little to provide for the family basic needs. In a house of the first wife there are four children who also depends on the fathers’ income. They live in a three-room mud house which they inherited. They use firewood/charcoal for cooking, kerosene/solar for lighting and get water from a lake. Innocent likes football. In January 2025 he should join a kindergarten at Island of Hope Humanist School. He needs a support with an amount of 7200 CZK/300 EUR per year (600 CZK/25 EUR per month).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
