Description of the situation: Ryan is the last born out of five children. His siblings are John Juniour (born 2010), Vivian Akinyi (2014), Marry Trizer (2015) and Gloria Gracer (2017). Father does fishing while the mother sells fish. The income the parents gets is little to feed, pay fees and also provide other basic needs in life to the children. Ryan’s father is polygamous and has three wives where his mother is the third one. In the first wife house, there are other three children who also depends on the little income of the father. They live in a two-room mud house which belongs to family. They use firewood/charcoal for cooking, kerosene/solar for lighting and get water from a lake. Ryan likes playing with the ball and a soccker. In January 2025 he should join a kindergarten at Island of Hope Humanist School. He needs a support with an amount of 7200 CZK/300 EUR per year (600 CZK/25 EUR per month).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
