Description of the situation: Gift comes from a polygamous family where his mother is the first wife of the father. In their house, there are seven children: apart from Gift it is Beatrice Achieng (born 2006), Rehema Adhiambo (2009), Lavender Atieno (2010), Phanice Auma (2012), Rinter Akoth (2015), Lucy Anyango (2017). He is the last born at the moment. In his step mothers house there are three children. All this family survives from the little income the father gets from fishing, however much he is trying, he cannot manage to provide the basic needs in life to the big family. They live in three roomed mud house which belongs to family. They use Firewood for cooking, Kerosene/Solar for lighting and they get water from a lake. Gift likes playing football. In January 2025 he should join a kindergarten at Island of Hope Humanist School. He needs a support with an amount of 7200 CZK/300 EUR per year (600 CZK/25 EUR per month).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
