Description of the situation: The father who was the only breadwinner in the family died leaving the mother who is mentally challenged with the four children to provide for them the basic needs. The siblings are Kennedy Mahindra (born 2019), Paul Erick (2021), Beriana Night (2024). The mother does nothing completely for her income making them to entirely depend on well-wishers and neighbors’ for their daily food. Vivian, siblings and the mother sometimes goes without food and the children sometimes fails to go to school because of unpaid school fees and other school requirements. They live in a two roomed mud house which belongs to them. They uses Firewood/Charcoal for cooking, kerosene/solar for lighting and get water from the river. Vivian likes singing, reading and playing netball. In school she likes English, Creative Art and she would like to be a teacher after school. Due to a very bad conditions at home she should join an orphanage at Island of Hope and starts visiting a class 2 here from January 2025. She needs support with an amount of 16.800 CZK/660 EUR per year (1400 CZK/55 EUR per month).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
