Description of the situation: Yvette comes from a big family of nine children, she is the youngest. Her siblings are Cavin Ochieng (born 1999), Yvonne Atieno (2001,was in adoption 51412), John Victor (2003), Juliet Adhiambo (2007), Peterlis Okwe (2013), Iddah Atieno (2009), Harrison Okwe (2011), Hellen Adhiambo (2018, in adoption 53040). Father does fishing while the mother sells fish. The family is big and the income the parents gets is meagre to provide for the basic needs in their life. They live in a four roomed permanent house which belongs to the family. They use firewood/charcoal for cooking, kerosene/solar for lighting and they get water from lake. Yvette likes watching cartoons, singing and skipping and also soccer. In 2026 she should start attending kindergarden at Island of Hope Humanist School in Community center Island of Hope. He needs support of 700 CZK/30 EUR/ month (8400 CZK/360 EUR/year).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3 500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 8,400 (€ 360) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 18,000 (€ 750). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
