Description of the situation: Cliff is the last born in the family of six children. His siblings are Omondi Oketch (born 2003), Nancy Akinyi (2008), Frankline Oketch (2009), Caroline Achieng (2010), Silas Fidel (2013). Father was the only breadwinner but he died leaving the children with their mother who is a peasant farmer. The income the mother is getting from her farming is very little and this made Cliff to be taken by his cousin Grace and Silas to be taken by the grandmother who is very old and only depends on well-wishers. They live in a five roomed mud house which belongs to the family. They use firewood/charcoal for cooking, kerosene/solar for lighting and they get water from lake. Cliff likes playing football. In school je likes Kiswahili and Mathematics, he would like to be an engineer after school. Due to bad family situation he was admited to orphanage in Community center Island of Hope and in 2026 he should start attending a class 4 at Island of Hope Humanist School. He needs support of 1500 CZK/62,50 EUR/ month (18.000 CZK/750 EUR/year).

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3 500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 8,400 (€ 360) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 18,000 (€ 750). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.
