Description of the situation: Regina is the second born in the family of four children. Her brothers Eugine (ID 52874) and Wilfred (ID 52875) are also in our program. Both the parents died leaving the children with their grandparents who are peasant. Apart from Regina and the siblings, the grandparents also take care of other cousins, aunts and one very old lady who is sickling. They have only around 1,000 KSH/10 EUR per month. The family lives in a three room mud house which belongs to the family. They use firewood for cooking, electricity for lighting and they get water from the river. Regina likes football, skipping the rope and drama. In 2020 she joined orphanage in our community center Island of Hope. Is school she liked Science, Kiswahili and English. Her dream was to become a nurse one day. During her studies at secondary school she got pregnant and she is having a baby. She had to leave the boarding school because she had no one to take care of her baby. Now her child is older and she would like to return to her studies, she would like to do some practical course at the polytechnic, so that she has a chance to support herself and her child. She needs support of 5600 CZK/220 Eur for one school period (16800 CZK/660 Eur per year).
