Description of the situation: Caroline Ann is the last born in the family of two children at present, she is 3 years old. Her brother Terry is already in our project with ID 52758. The father who is the only breadwinner is a motorcycle rider but due to COVID19, the business has really reduced because the government has restricted movement of people. The entire family depends on this little income (3.200 ksh per month – about 32 EUR). Because of this, the children were taken by their grandmother who is an hotel attendant and also a widow to feed the children. Though the grandmother is trying but sometimes she finds it difficult to support the family because she is asthmatic. They live in a three room mud house which belongs to the family. They cook on wood or charcoal, use water from the lake and for lighting they use kerosene lamp. Caroline is doing good at the present. She likes swimming and playing football. She now attends primary school on the Island of Hope Rusinga.
