Description of the situation: Cavin has two siblings: Yvonne (2008), Lucy (2010). They own three rooms mud house. They get water from the lake for their daily use.They cook using firewood and has a lamp for their lighting.The father who is the only breadwinner for the family is a farmer and he does small scale farming, which most of the time produces just enough for their food, at times they have nothing to sell and this makes it hard for the family to be able to meet the basic needs and also keep the children in school. The boy attends third grade of high school in 2023 at Island of Hope. The adoption fee is 5,600 Kč/220 EURO per school year.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
