Child number: 52096
Girl, 24 years
Adopted
Christine Aluoch has been in adoption programme since year 2011 and she goes to school Kenyatta University.
City, quarter: Rusinga Island Kisumu
State: Kenya
Mother: -, grocer
Father: -, deceased
Guardian: babička, birth 1953, casual worker
Description of the situation: Christine was born in 2000 and has three siblings: sister Hellen Atieno (born in 2003) and brothers Joseph Odhiambo (2005) and Jeff Ouma (2010). Christine’s father died and her mother as well, therefore Christine and her sister were taken by their aunt, who is just a casual worker and also a widow, to feed and take the children to school. The aunt’s income is also meagre to provide the basic needs, it is just about 1000 Ksh per month (10 EUR). They live in a four - roomed mud house. The family gets water from the lake, uses firewood for cooking and kerosene lamp for lighting. During high school studies Christine got pregnant twice and she delivered two nice boys. Older one, George was born in 2017 and younger John Mike was born in 2019. The boys have the same father, but they do not live together as a family. The grandmother is helping to take care of them. Inspite of all of that she returned to high school and she was able to finish her studies. In 2021 Christine very successfully graduated from high school and she was admitted to Kenyatta University, in order to study Agricultural resource management. She was also granted a governmental sponsorship, but it is still not enough for her to study. Therefore she needs a support of 16.800 CZK/ 660 EUR per year. Will you help her to get university education?

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.

Section of detailed information provides an overview of how this projects works. In case you have already chosen a child from our database, you can also find here all the steps to be taken in order to adopt a child remotely.

You can also provide the adoptive children by health insurance, that covers any medical treatment the child needs during 1 year.

Adoption Friend Club forms an integral part of this project, and enables to support education of Kenyan children by one-time contribution anytime during the year.

In case you already are an “adoptive parent”, here you will find complementary information and references for adoptive parents about the whole adoption process.
