Description of the situation: Millicent was born in 2018. She has two older siblings, Charles (2008) and Steve (2010) and a younger sibling Nasrim (2021). Their father is a fisherman, and their mother sells fish for a living. This family of six lives in a mud house that has three rooms. When cooking they use firewood and receive their water from the lake nearby. For lighting within the home, they use candles. The family’s net income is 5,200 KSH (52 EUR) per month. With the financial struggles Millicent’s parents have, she was taken in by her aunt who is a housewife with children of her own she also must support. Some of Millicent’s hobbies include cooking and singing. Millicent should join kindergarten in the Island of Hope’s project in 2022. Her adoption costs are 2.400 CZK/ 100 EUR per school term (7.200 CZK/ 300 EUR per year). Will you help Millicent’s family send her to school?

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children“ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. School fees at primary school are CZK 7200 (€300) / year, and at secondary school, college and orphanage are CZK 16800 (€660). The payment can also be broken down into multiple instalments.
