Description of the situation: Kery is the last born in the family of five children (siblings Redemptor born 2004, Eunice born 2007, Marry born 2009 and Joshua born 2011), the father does fishing while the mother buys and sells fish. The income they get is very little to feed and provide for other basic needs in life t the family (3,400 KES). They live in a three roomed mud house of their own.They cook on the fire and take the water from the lake. Kery has sickle cell Anemia. They cook on the fire and use kerosene for the lighting. They took water from the lake. Felix is doing well health wise except of the occasional malaria. In 2018 she would like to join a nursery in Community Center Island of Hope. Adoption of this child is 2400 CZK/100 Eur per term.

The project of remote support „Adoptions of African children - “ mediates an access to education for poor Kenyan children without pulling them out of their natural environment and community. This project has been running since 2002 and has helped more than 3500 children. The basic sponsoring fee amounts to 7200 CZK (300 EUR) a year.
